□色彩浮造り合板（トドマツ）・集成材
紙を山折り、谷折りしたようなフォルムの色彩浮造り合板（※）を使った外枠と、鏡面仕上の4枚の棚板で構成されたオープンシェルフです。両側面にも小さなスペースがあるので飾り棚として見せる収納にしたり、空間の真ん中に置いてパーテーションとして使うこともできます。
※色彩浮造り合板：北海道立総合研究機構林産試験場で研究、開発された合板です。着色剤を含む接着剤を使って合板を作り、日本の伝統的な技法「うづくり」加工によって木目に沿って色が模様のようにみえてきています。
The layers of plywood are glued together with a tinted solvent. The surface of the plywood is brushed using the Uzukuri process, and the softer part of the grain will be brushed off leaving the harder areas intact. Thus the tinted solvent will then show through in the grain.
Uzukuri is an old traditional Japanese surface treatment that accentuates the hard winter growth of the wood. Uzukuri simply involves scrubbing the surface using a thick stiff brush. This makes the surface more resistant to scratches and marks and also invites the onlooker to touch the shelf.
